The Yarmouth Mariners stayed red-hot over the weekend.

They’re now on a season-high five game winning streak, as they beat Pictou County 4-1 at home Saturday, and the Bearcats 4-1 on the road Friday.

Reid Vos had a hat-trick for Yarmouth in the win over the Crushers, Alex Roode also scored, and Keegan Warren stopped 20 of 21 shots for the win.

On Friday, the Mariners got goals from Alex Roode, Ben Roode, Jerome Gilbert and Jerome Nadeau, with Joey Lovullo making 28 saves in net.

The Mariners are tied with Truro for first place in the Eastlink South Division.

They’re on the road for the next six games, and visit Campbellton on Friday.
