Local author Laurent d’Entremont is out with his seven book, The Man in the Wrinkled Suit.

Like his previous works, it features a collection of short stories from local people and about local attractions.

d’Entremont says the title comes from a man he met while working at the West Pubnico Credit Union who wore a wrinkled suit.

“And when I had first met him his wrinkled suit was what I remembered but the man was a genius,” says d’Entremont. “You just don’t judge a book by it’s cover or a genius by his wrinkled suit.”

He says he tries to keep the memories of the community alive.

There are 60 short stories in The Man in the Wrinkled Suit.

d’Entremont discussed what ignited his passion for telling local stories.

“It got the urge to tell stories from my grandfather, he was a great storyteller,” says d’Entremont. “He used to come to our house and talk about the days when he was the captain of schooners.”

He says this book may be his last but he’s open to telling more of the communities stories.

d’Entremont will be doing a book signing on December 3rd at Coles in Yarmouth.

The Man in the Wrinkled suit is now available at the Yarmouth Coles, the museums in Yarmouth and Pubnico and at the Barrington Bargain Centre.

d’Entremont discussed his newest book on Y95’s The Weekender. The full interview can be found here.
