Fire caused extensive damage to a duplex on Laurentide Road in Riverview.
Chief Robin True says Fire and Rescue were called to the scene at around 9:30 am Sunday morning.
When firefighters arrived, one side of the duplex was engulfed with heavy smoke and flames coming from the front window.
All residents got out of the home safely, but Ambulance NB assessed one man.
One side of the duplex is destroyed, while the other has water and smoke damage.
The Canadian Red Cross is assisting four residents.
No word on a cause yet.
