A good day on the court for the St. Thomas Aquinas senior boys volleyball team at the All-Ontario “A” Championships in Sudbury.

The Saints won both their games beating the two highest seeds in their pool, Oakwood in two straight sets, and Ecole Pere Rene de Galinee two sets to one.

The Saints play their next game at 9:00.

In the meantime, the Saints senior girls basketball team lost it’s first game at the OFSAA championship in Walkerton.

They were humbled 97-36 by the number 5 seed in the tournament, Roland Mitchener from Timmins.

Their next game is a 12:30 this afternoon.
