Thunder Bay Police have once again thwarted a home takeover in the city, this time at a Pearl Street apartment this week, arresting two teens from Toronto in the process.
Officers were dispatched to the home for a welfare check shortly after 2:30 Wednesday afternoon, when they arrived they located the suspects. One attempted to hide while the other tried to barricade themselves in a room. Both were quickly arrested without further incident.
A quantity of Oxycodone pills, crack cocaine, cash and drug trafficking equipment was seized as a result of the investigation.
The two accused, aged 18 and 17 respectively, have both been charged with the following:
• Possession of Oxycodone for the Purpose of Trafficking
• Possession of Cocaine for the Purpose of Trafficking • Possession of Property Obtained by Crime Under $5,000 • Obstruct Peace Officer • Being Unlawfully in a DwellingBoth appeared in court Thursday and have been remanded into custody.
