Ford Recalling Thousands of Broncos & Escapes For A Potential Fire Hazard

Thousands of vehicles are being recalled by Ford Motor Co.

Across the world, the car manufacturer is recalling 634,000 Bronco Sport and Escape models from the 2020-2023 model years.

They are citing cracked fuel injector reports that when leaked it can cause vapours or spill onto the hot engine that could result in a fire.

So far 20 fires have been reported, with no injuries however 43 legal claims connected to the safety issue.

Owners will receive a letter from Ford starting Dec. 19 about the recall notice.

Vehicles can be inspected, with replacement parts installed as necessary. Warranties will also be extended to cover the cracked fuel injectors for up to 15 years.
