The Fort Frances Muskies return from the NorWOSSA AA Championships with a couple of medals.
The junior girls’ basketball team wrapped up a perfect season by claiming the championship with a 36-18 win over the Sioux North Warriors.
It is the Muskies’ third straight crown, with the last two years wiped out by the pandemic.

The Muskies senior boys volleyball team earned a silver medal after losing three games to one in their final with Sioux North.
The junior boys were eliminated in their semi-final by Sioux North in three straight games.
The senior girls’ basketball team lost 34-21 to Kenora’s Beaver Brae in their semi.
Kiera Fairington scored the game’s only goal in overtime as the Fort Frances Muskies girls’ hockey team scored a one-nothing win over the visiting St. Thomas Aquinas Saints in the opener of their NorWOSSA season.
Maddie Bliss was in net for the shutout win.
