Voter information cards will arrive in the mailboxes of more than 126,000 New Brunswick this week.

The cards will tell people when and where to vote in advance of the November 28th local government elections.

“We encourage voters to bring their cards with them when they go to vote, as this will ensure faster service,” said, Kim Poffenroth, chief electoral officer. “Only those electors with a contest to vote for will receive a card.”

The cards each have a unique bar code that helps polling staff quickly find the voter’s name on the voter’s list, strike them off, and send them to get a ballot.

Any eligible voters who do not receive a card or bring it to the polling station will be directed to a special team to check the voter’s list or add the person to the list if needed.

Information can be found online by visiting the Elections New Brunswick website.

People can use the Search your Local Government, DEC and RHA election information link, voters can quickly find the location of their local polling stations, the list of candidates running in their polling division, and contact information for the returning office in their region.
