Warden elections were held last night for the Municipality of Shelburne.

At their regular council meeting, District two councillor Penny Smith was re-elected warden and District seven councillor Dale Richardson was re-elected deputy warden.

In a release on the municipality’s Facebook page, Smith thanked council for their faith in her and pointed to ongoing projects like the new administration building, community well and food security project.

Smith has held the position of warden for the past six years with Richardson serving as deputy warden for the past two years.

The municipality is required to hold warden elections every two years.
