SPCA Seizes 13 Dogs In Southern N.B.

By Brad Perry Nov 9, 2022 | 2:30 PM

The New Brunswick SPCA has launched an urgent appeal for support after a large dog seizure.

A total of 13 underweight dogs needing medical care, including two with open wounds, were recently seized from a home in southern New Brunswick.

In a Facebook post, NBSPCA said one dog named Forrest had an open wound and was rushed to the vet for urgent care.

“The other dogs received immediate vet care and six have been referred for a specialist assessment of their hip and leg issues,” said the post.

Officials did not release any other details about their investigation, which is still ongoing.

In the meantime, NBSPCA said the dogs are still recovering from their injuries and slowly regaining their overall strength.

“They continue to be assessed by specialists to see what future care is needed. Once they are ready to find a furrever home they will be available for adoption,” said the post.

Anyone who wants to donate can send an e-transfer to spca@nbnet.nb.ca with Forrest in the subject line.
