UPDATE: Nova Scotia Power has resolved the majority of the outage with fewer than five customers still affected.

They say high winds damaged one of their power lines.

Nova Scotia Power is reporting a large outage in the Kemptville area.

They say it is an emergency outage for public safety.

It’s also affecting the areas of Carleton, Forest Glen, Moody’s Corner and East Kemptville.

The current estimated restoration time is 4:15 p.m.

Nova Scotia Power reports that 941 customers are currently without power.
