UPDATE: The RCMP say they have safely arrested a man in Meteghan in relation the investigation. They say the hold and secures have been lifted at Meadowfields Community School and NSCC Burridge Campus

Meadowfields Community School and NSCC Burridge Campus are currently under a hold and secure by the RCMP.

Via tweet, police say they are investigating a threats complaint.

They say no direct threats to either school have been made and the investigation ongoing.

Officers are currently at both schools as a precaution.

In a Facebook post, Meadowfields says they will keep families updated about the situation.

NSCC Burridge is asking anyone who was planning to come to campus to stay away until the hold and secure is lifted.
