Local Sports Report for November 2, 2022

The Fort Frances Muskies took three of four games on the court in Dryden on Tuesday.

The junior girls’ basketball team ended a perfect regular season with a 33-21 win over the Eagles.

The seniors lost 41-14 and will finish the season in third place.

In boys’ volleyball, the Muskies clinched a playoff spot with a two-games-to-nothing win.

Scores were 25-21 and 25-21

While the seniors won three games to one to finish their regular season in third place.

Scores were 25-13, 23-25, 27-25, and 25-18.

 

Northern Lakes won just once in their series with the Red Lake Rams.

The junior girls’ basketball team beat the Rams 30-21.

That moved the team into a tie for third with the Rainy River Owls with a game in hand.

The seniors lost 19-14.

In boys’ volleyball, it was the juniors losing two straight by scores of 20-25 and 17-25.

The seniors fell in three by scores of 21-25, 16-25 and 14-25.

Northern Lakes wraps up their regular season in Kenora today against the St. Thomas Aquinas Saints.
