More Fort Frances Fires Under Police Investigation

By Randy Thoms Nov 1, 2022 | 3:27 PM

There have been two more fires that may be deemed suspicious in Fort Frances.

Members of the Fort Frances Fire and Rescue Services responded to blazes on Third Street West and at the Walleye Trailer Park early Tuesday morning.

The first call came in at around 3:10 a.m.

Six full-time and eight part-time firefighters responded to the home on Third with two pumper trucks, a rescue pickup and an extrication rescue vehicle.

It was the same location of a fire that broke out in the home’s garage early Sunday morning.

Less than two hours later, firefighters were called to another structure fire at the trailer park.

Both buildings suffered heavy damage.

No one was hurt in either fire.

The Ontario Provincial Police and the Ontario Fire Marshall’s Office are investigating all three fires.
