Seven Deaths In N.B. Attributed To COVID-19

The province has reported seven new deaths this week attributed to COVID-19.

It says the number of positive PCR cases decreased compared to last week with 589 new cases.

Forty-three people are in the hospital, up from 33 last week.

People between the ages of 70 and 89 account for the highest portion of hospitalizations.

The COVID-19 report covers October 23rd to 29th or Week 43.

According to Horizon Health, on October 29th, the Moncton area had 59 cases, the Fredericton area had 30 while the Saint John area had 17 cases.

Forty-five staff from Vitalité Health Network are off the job due to COVID-19.
