One of the fastest-rising Canadian musicians performs in Fort Frances tonight.

Sky Wallace will be at the La Place Rendez Vous at 7 p.m.

Tour de Fort is presenting the performance as an addition to its passport series.

Wallace is bringing a full band with her.

“There’s guitar, drums, keyboards, four-part harmonies. There’s high energy rock and roll spirit to the set. But you know, we also have quieter moments as well, so about the dynamic for me and having a good time and connecting with folks over the course of the night. We’re really excited to come back to Fort Frances. Every single time I’ve come through, I’ve had the best time. So, I’ve been looking forward to it for a while,” says Wallace.

Wallace is on tour supporting her latest record entitled Terribly Good.

It is also the first time she has had support behind her.

“I’m really excited about the release itself because it’s my first time with a full team behind me. I’m signed with Six Shooter Records, and it’s the first record that they’re putting out.”

“Thinking back on this, I was doing a talk in a high school recently and just talked about what was the process of your career in music. I was thinking back on it, and I used to do literally everything myself, and it was so exhausting but very gratifying. But I think it also really laid the groundwork for me figuring out how I wanted to navigate my career and who I wanted to surround myself with. There’s just like a lot of awesome people on my team now. I’m really excited to see where this goes. I think the first part of that is taking it on the road.”
