You’ll want to lock up after you put your car in park.

Halifax Regional Police say they received 123 reports of thefts from vehicles so far this month.

Now they’re issuing a reminder for you to make sure your car is always locked, even if it’s just in your driveway or garage.

Other tips, don’t leave your wallet inside or any valuables left in plain sight. Police say if possible you should try and park in busy and well-lit areas.

The investigation is continuing with police encouraging you to report any stolen property from your car.

They also want you to reach out if you spot suspicious activity around parked cars, like people pulling on door handles.

You can call 902-490-5020 or send anonymous tips to Crime Stoppers.
