The Yarmouth Mariners have won four in a row.

Yesterday in the Valley, Yarmouth won 6-1 and fired 74 shots at the Wildcats.

Alex Roode and Ryan Semple each scored twice.

Saturday night at home, the Mariners squeaked out a 3-2 win over the Crushers, despite outshooting Pictou County 41-15.

Head Coach and GM Laurie Barron says he wasn’t surprised it was a close game.

“They’ve got a great hockey club, a young and exciting team, and their goaltender was spectacular tonight,” says Barron.

Andrew Stuckless scored Saturday’s game-winner with just over a minute to go.

Barron says they’ve been good defensively, and his club is starting to roll.

“We haven’t given up many shots, and we’ve kept the goals against down. The offence is starting to roll with everyone chipping in.”

Yarmouth starts a five-game homestand this weekend, they host Truro Friday and South Shore on Saturday.

The Mariners have a record of 7-4.
