A drop-in space to visit and adpot kittens is closing in Dartmouth.

Lily Pad Cat Lounge helped connect about 1,000 cats with new owners and good homes.

However, they are shutting down their Portland Street store after five years. A post on Facebook, indicates their lease is expiring and they will not renew.

“It’s with a heavy heart that we will be closing the lounge once our lease is up next month. It’s been an amazing nearly five years, but we have decided to take some time to be able to relax and enjoy family. We thank everyone for the amazing support over the years, and hope everyone can come visit some kitties in the coming weeks.” Lily Pad Cat Lounge

They will be open until about mid-November and will have cats to adopt and visit until then.
