Muskies Junior Basketball Team Remains Unbeaten

The Fort Frances Muskies court teams split games with the Sioux North Warriors in Sioux Lookout.

The girls’ basketball teams earned wins, with the juniors improving to 6-0 with a 39-15 victory.

The seniors won 22-20.

In boys basketball, the senior team 3 games to two while the juniors lost in two games to one.

 

In NorWOSSA A play, Northern Lakes won just one of four contests with Kenora’s Thomas Aquinas Saints.

The junior boys’ volleyball team upset the Saints in two straight.

The seniors lost three straight.

In girls’ basketball, the senior Voyageurs lost 18-12, while the juniors fell 24-19.

 

Fort Frances Lakers hit the road today to compete in the SIJHL’s Showcase in Superior, Wisconsin.

The event highlights the teams to hockey scouts at various levels.

The Lakers will open the Showcase with a game against Sioux Lookout this afternoon.

 

Fort Frances Muskies football team is home this afternoon.

They take on Kenora’s Beaver Brae Broncos at 2 p.m. at Muskie Field.

 

The playoff seedings for Minnesota High School football have been announced.

The International Falls Broncos football team is ranked third in its division and will face Crosby-Ironton next Saturday in their playoff opener.
