A tarp obstructing a back window and a broken taillight have lead to drug trafficking charges for a Thunder Bay man following a traffic stop on Memorial Avenue shortly before 130AM Thursday.

Officers discovered the 42-year-old driver was a suspended driver, and further investigation revealed him to be in possession of a significant quantity of cocaine and other drug trafficking related items.

The man has been charged with the following:

• Possession of Cocaine for the Purpose of Trafficking • Failure to Comply with Probation Order

He has since appeared in court and was remanded into custody.
