A 25-year-old Moncton man has been arrested after two armed robberies in September.

On September 18, RCMP responded to two separate reports of individuals being robbed by a man armed with a knife on Main Street, in Moncton.

A man reportedly approached an individual who was in a parked car and demanded money but then fled with a credit card.

Minutes later, the man approached a second individual, who was on the sidewalk nearby and stole food.

Jordan Deyong was arrested on October 16th near a business on Queen Street.

He appeared in court this week and is now facing several charges:

  • Two counts of robbery with an offensive weapon
  • Two counts of possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose
  • Carrying a concealed weapon

He remains in custody and is scheduled to be back in court on October 24th.
