RCMP is looking for other potential victims in connection with a fraud investigation in Moncton.

In June 2022, a woman was arrested in Moncton for an unrelated matter and was found to have personal and financial information belonging to others in her possession.

An investigation determined the financial documents originated from Rallye Motors Hyundai and Rallye Motors Mitsubishi dealerships, in Moncton.

The information in the documents was also used to apply for car loans and credit cards.

Police executed four search warrants in connection with the investigation between July and September in the Greater Moncton area.

A significant number of documents were seized during the searches.

A 41-year-old man and a 27-year-old woman, both from Moncton, were arrested as part of the investigation. They were released and are scheduled to appear in Moncton Provincial Court on January 24, 2023.

RCMP has been contacting individuals identified in the documents, and a number of people have confirmed financial irregularities that appear to be connected with the investigation.

If you were a customer of Rallye Motors Hyundai or Rallye Motors Mitsubishi dealerships during the specified time period and suspect you may have been a victim of fraud, or if you have information that may assist the investigation, please contact the Codiac Regional RCMP at 506-857-2400. Information can also be provided anonymously through Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-TIPS (8477).
