Suspended Police Chief Facing Tribunal Charges

Thunder Bay Police Chief Sylvie Hauth, who is currently suspended, has been charged with discreditable conduct and deceit by the Ontario Civilian Police Commission.

This is in relation to the allegations that Thunder Bay Police Services Board member, Georjann Morriseau, for alleged breach of trust which led to charges of discreditable conduct against Thunder Bay Police Service Chief Sylvie Hauth.

 

 

On the same note, the special administrator that was appointed earlier this year will stay on for a while.

Malcolm Mercer’s role as the sole vote of the Police Board is extended until the end of March 2023 at the advice of the Independent Expert Panel.
