The Nova Scotia Utility and Review Board indicated Friday afternoon that they would be invoking the interrupter clause at midnight which allows them to adjust fuel prices in response to changes market prices.

The change will not be officially confirmed until it is made, but early reports have indicated diesel will be going up by 12.9 cents per litre.

This continues the recent trend of rising diesel prices in Nova Scotia with prices up over the past two weeks between 40 to 45 cents per litre depending on where you are in the province.

The price of regular gasoline is not expected to change.
