Fort Frances Runners Pace Falls Meet

Several podium finishes for cross-country runners from Fort Frances High School at the Hial Pike run in International Falls.

Trent Wilson won the boys’ five-kilometre race.

William Yerxa was second in the 3,200-metre event.

Abby Waldner and Saylor Easton were 2nd and 3rd, respectively, in the girls’ 3,200-metre event.

Abbi Hutchinson of International Falls was first in the girls’ five-kilometre race.

Logan McPherson from Fort Frances tees off at 12:39 p.m. Central time at the all-Ontario high school girls’ golf championship in Hamilton.

She is the lone golfer from northwestern Ontario taking part.

The Rainy River Owls beat Northern Lakes 2-games to one in junior boys volleyball.

The Owls also won in junior girls basketball 21-19 and senior boys basketball 43-9.
