Two of New Brunswick’s four Conservative MP’s have been named to the official opposition’s shadow cabinet.

Pierre Poilievre called the group his new ‘inflation-busting’ inner circle to take on the Trudeau government.

Miramichi-Grand Lake MP Jake Stewart will be shadow minister for the Atlantic Canada Opportunities Agency and had been national revenue critic under former leader Erin O’Toole.

Fundy Royal MP Rob Moore has been named shadow minister for Justice and Attorney General of Canada – the same post he held under O’Toole.

Both Stewart and Moore had supported Poilievre for party leader.

New Brunswick Southwest MP John Williamson and Tobique-Mactaquac MP Richard Bragdon were not given roles in the shadow cabinet.

While Williamson had supported the new leader, Bragdon backed Leslyn Lewis during the leadership campaign.
