A long-time executive director of Th’YARC has passed away.

Sandy Fevens held the role for over 20 years, and was responsible for directing and creating many plays.

Current director Judy Snow says Fevens was a guiding light.

“She was funny, she was a wealth of knowledge when it came to local theatre and she helped us in so many ways. She is definitely going to be missed,” says Snow.

She says Fevens took her under her wing, and helped her learn all about the position.

“I’m extremely honoured to be in the position. They are big shoes to fill, but I’m certainly going to do my best.”

Fevens passed away on Saturday.
