RCMP are explaining a photo of two officers at a ‘Freedom Fighter PTSD Drive’ in the Annapolis Valley.
The officers responded to a noise complaint at a field in Nictaux on Saturday night.
Police say they were met by a large group of men, who said they weren’t welcome.
To ‘de-escalate’ the situation, the RCMP members paid a five dollar admission fee and agreed to take a photo with some of the men.
The music was turned down after the officers explained the noise by-law.
In a release, the RCMP say they are not affiliated with the group, and the photo is being shared without accurate context.
One of the officers was wearing a thin blue line patch, which is against police policy.
The patch has since been removed from his uniform.
