An early morning fire damaged a Moncton pub on Lewisville Road and investigators are looking into the cause.
Acting Moncton Fire Platoon Chief Tim Rossiter said the call came in around 5 a.m. Monday and firefighters found the side patio of the Iceberg Pub heavily involved in flames upon arrival.
Rossiter said crews quickly knocked down the fire but it did prove challenging since the building had a roof on top of a roof noting how it was a former service station.
No one was inside at the time and no one was hurt but Rossiter added a tropical fish was saved from the blaze.
He said the building sustained damage to the patio and the roof.
About 18 firefighters were on scene for about three hours.
