Diesel and furnace oil have spiked even more in New Brunswick after the interrupter clause was invoked again by the Energy and Utilities Board overnight.

Diesel and furnace oil each jumped by 6.9 cents per litre which marks the fifth day in a row of increases for both fuels.

The price of regular self-serve gasoline remained unchanged from this week’s price setting on Thursday.

Since September 29, diesel has climbed by more than 45 cents per litre while furnace oil has jumped by almost 44 cents during the same period.

The current maximum for diesel is $2.454 per litre and the maximum for furnace oil is $2.218 per litre.
