If you need to hop across the harbour for your turkey dinner you’re going to want to avoid the Macdonald Bridge.
Halifax Harbour Bridges has announced it’s set to be closed this weekend for maintenance.
The span will shut down at 7 p.m. Friday and won’t open again until 5:30 a.m. Monday.
You won’t be able to cruise across in your car or use the sidewalk or bike lane.
Halifax Harbour Bridges has announced its full set of scheduled closures for the fall which, you can see below:
Macdonald Bridge:
– Oct. 7-10: Full closure, bikeway and sidewalk CLOSED
– Oct. 1-16: Full closure, bikeway and sidewalk open
– Oct. 28-30: Full closure, bikeway and sidewalk CLOSED
– Nov. 4-6: Full closure, bikeway and sidewalk CLOSED
MacKay Bridge:
Oct. 21-23 – Full closure
