It’s back to .500 for the Yarmouth Mariners.
Saturday, the Mariners held off Campbellton 4-3 at home to even up their record at 2-2.
This followed a strong game Friday night against the Ramblers at Mariners Centre, which Yarmouth won 4-1.
Head Coach and GM Laurie Barron says they were a bit snake-bitten during their 0-2 start.
“This weekend, things fell in place. We’re 2-2 and back in the mix, so I’m very pleased. Right from the goaltending out, our defense was keeping their chances to the outside and we’re scoring by committee.” says Barron.
Keegan Warren got his first win between the pipes Friday night for Yarmouth, while 20-year old Christophe Beluse picked up his first victory of the season in net Saturday.
Alex Roode scored twice in Saturday’s game to lead Yarmouth.
The Mariners stay home this Friday and Saturday for games against Amherst and Miramichi.
