Almost eleven-hundred aircraft have made landings at the Fort Frances airport this year.

That’s down about 25 percent from pre-pandemic levels.

Air passenger traffic is also well below normal levels.

Bearskin has averaged about 15 flights per month, compared to over 60 made in 2019.

Less than 400 passengers have been aboard those flights.

That is about a fifth of the number of passengers that flew to Fort Frances in 2019.

International aircraft is also down about 25 per cent from pre-COVID numbers.
