A collision between a school bus and a pickup truck on Highway 11 has sent two people to hospital including one student.

The driver of the pickup truck was also sent to Thunder Bay Regional Health Sciences Centre for their injuries.

The incident occurred at approximately 12:30, 15 kilometres West of Beardmore and closed the highway between Geraldton and Nipigon for several hours.

Provincial police have reopened the highway and the investigation is ongoing.
