OPP have identified a body that belongs to the missing woman.

Search teams had been looking for missing person Kaitlin Restall when she was reported missing on Sept 25.

While searching Silver Falls Road officers found a single vehicle collision 11km north of Hwy 102, and found a deceased person on the scene.

The deceased has been identified as 41-year-old Kaitlin Restall of Thunder Bay.

Police had been using uniform members to search the area for the victim along with an OPP helicopter and Emergency Response Team members had been dispatched to the area to assist in the search.

Silver Falls Road remains closed as the OPP Technical Collision Investigators (TCI) are processing the scene. Evidence at the scene dictates that the vehicle is in the river however it has not been located at this time. The investigation is ongoing.
