A charter aircraft taxiing on the runway at the Thunder Bay Airport suffered a non-emergency landing gear failure around 2:30 this afternoon. Fortunately no injuries were reported among the five people onboard.

As a result this has forced the temporary closure of the airport. In a release officials say they hope to resume normal operations of the airport as soon as possible.
