The Yarmouth County Hospice Society is hosting a fundraiser at the end of the month.
It’s happening September 30th at the Lions Hall on Parade Street.
Fish or corn chowder will be served, there will be a silent auction and a performance by the Catch-22 Comedy Crew.
Founding member of the society Shirley Hubbard says they purchased a 22-thousand dollar cuddle-bed for the hospital last year.
“They are so important to end-of-life care. We’re hoping that we’ll be able to raise enough money over the next while to buy another one.” says Hubbard.
There will also be several door prizes at the fundraiser.
It all begins at 5 p.m.
