Colorado’s Nathan MacKinnon is now the highest paid player in the NHL.
The Cole Harbour, N.S., native signed an eight-year contract worth $100 million.
He’ll make an average of $12.6 million, higher than Connor MacDavid of Edmonton.

MacKinnon hosted a massive party in downtown Halifax last month to celebrate his first Stanley Cup.
