An investigation is underway into the sexual assault of a teenager in Dartmouth on Wednesday.
Halifax Regional Police say the incident involved a 15-year-old girl who was on a path near Jayden Drive and Elwin Crescent when a stranger came up and touched her in a “sexual manner.”
The teen reported the incident to a “trusted adult.”
The suspect is described as a white man in his 40s, standing approximately 5’8″, with a stocky build.
At the time he was wearing a black t-shirt and black track pants.
Police are asking anyone with information or video from the area to call 902-490-5020. Anonymous tips can be sent to Crime Stoppers.
