Broncos Win on Court and in Pool

The International Falls Broncos varsity girls’ volleyball team improved to eight and one with a three-game sweep of Northeast Range.

Scores were 25-14, 25-10 and 25-22.

Madison Wille led the way with ten kills, three ace serves and three ace blocks.

Graci Swenson added nine kills, four ace serves and six digs.

Bella Wille chipped in with five kills and two ace serves.

Lola Valenzuela had four kills and six digs.

Kale Taylor recorded eleven set assists and seven digs.

Aubrey Paulek had 13 set assists, while Karson Korpi had eight digs.

The juniors won their match two straight by scores of 25-17 and 25-10.

The Broncos were also victorious in the pool.

They won seven of eleven events to defeat Chisholm in a dual meet.

Quinna Ford won the 200-yard free and the 100-yard breaststroke.

Mary Versteeg won the 500-yard free.

Sylvia Valenzuela won the 100-yard butterfly.

Kiera DeBarnadeaux won the 100 yard backstroke.

Relay teams in the 160-yard medley and 160-yard free were also victorious.

The junior won five of nine events but were edged out in points in their competition.

Lila Hoopman won the 200 yard free.

Ava Silver won the 100-yard backstroke.

Brooklyne Dowty won the 100-yard breaststroke.

The 160-yard medley and 400 yard free relay teams also picked up first-place finishes.
