The OPP are investigating a suspicious death in Shuniah.

Officers were doing a wellness check at a residence on Wednesday this week and found a deceased man with serious injuries.

The man has been identified as 76 year old Risto Lehtonen.

A post-mortem exam is to be completed.

Provincial police are asking if anyone with home surveillance to check their camera’s for any suspicious people or activity and to contact police.
