Likely not how Canadians wanted to see a favourite newscaster make a comeback, but it’s one voice that was missed with the announcement of the passing of the Queen of England.

Lisa LaFlamme will be a Special Correspondant for CityTV News, a Rogers TV news outlet.

LaFlamme’s new role will allow her to cover the funeral procession for the Queen and all the related ceremonies. She will also “provide daily reporting for all newscasts” according to a statement from Rogers Media PR twitter account.
