The Department of Fisheries and Oceans has made arrests and seizures in St. Mary’s Bay.

DFO tells our newsroom that following a vessel inspection near Saulnierville on August 31 fishery officers arrested, and later released, five people and seized 261 lobster from four traps and three and a half crates.

The lobster were released live back into the ocean according to DFO.
