A GoFundMe for 36-year-old battle-rapper Pat Stay has surpassed $140,000 in money raised for his family.

Stay was stabbed at the Yacht Club Social in Halifax on Sunday morning.

Witnesses told CTV News that Stay was on the dance floor when he was stabbed, then stumbled outdoors.

Officers found him outside, and Stay was taken to a local hospital but later died from his injuries. No arrests have been made, and it’s not clear if Halifax Police have any suspects.

Eminem, Classified and Maestro Fresh have said Stay was one of the greatest battle-rappers in the world.

The Dartmouth native is survived by his wife and two children.

The investigation is ongoing, and police are asking anyone with information to contact police at 902-490-5020.
