Ontario Provincial Police are investigating a deadly UTV collision.

The utility terrain vehicle side-by-side crashed over the long weekend along Decourcey Lake Rd off of Hwy 527.

When emergency crews responded the driver was deceased and the passenger had extensive injuries, but weren’t considered life threatening.

49 year old George Decourte from Thunder Bay was identified as the driver.

OPP are investigating if speed and or alcohol were factors in the crash.

The public is reminded that helmets and seatbelts must be worn at all times when operating a side by side and the vehicle must be plated and insured. Any person with information regarding this investigation should contact the Ontario Provincial Police at 1-888-310-1122.
