A bomb threat had a neighbourhood flooded with police presence.

Late Monday afternoon police issued a statement about a reported bomb threat along Norah Street North.

Some residents in the area were evacuated and others were told to shelter in place while police investigated.

The scene was cleared and deemed safe by officers before midnight.

The Service is still investigating and no other information has been provided.
