Bay Ferries has released their report on the CAT Ferry’s activity in August.

The Nova Scotia to Maine ferry service has transported 28,349 passengers and 11,459 vehicles as of September first.

Bay Ferries says the July and August totals represent about 80% of traffic to date with 22,765 passengers and 8,981 vehicles.

They say national trends suggest US resident vehicle traffic to Canada continues recovering from the pandemic but is still below 2019 levels.

They say there is still market nervousness with most passengers booking 2–3 weeks in advance.

Bay Ferries says they’re confident the final numbers for the CAT’s season will fall between the 2016 and 2018 season totals.

The CAT has completed 84 round trips with 6 round trip weather cancellations since September first and have sold tickets for 35,056 passengers.
