A break and enter investigation is now closed after police made an arrest.

Officers responded to a call in the 300 block of Kingsway Avenue on Saturday Aug. 27.

When they arrived they found signs of forced entry and damage to the business.

Officers were able to confirm that a suspect had entered the premise and fled with an undisclosed amount of cash and business property prior to police arrival.

In the afternoon hours of Wednesday, Aug. 31, BEAR Unit officers located and successfully arrested the suspect.

A 43 year old Thunder Bay man was arrested and police learned of two probation orders, one of which was related to a previous break and enter incident.

He appeared in bail court on Thursday, Sept. 1 and was remanded into custody with a future appearance date.
