A 17-year-old boy from Dixon Point in the Bouctouche area has died after a single vehicle crash in Cocagne.

First responders were called to the scene on Route 535 shortly after 1 a.m. Wednesday.

Richibucto RCMP believe the driver lost control of the vehicle and it rolled over.

The boy was ejected and taken to hospital where he later died of his injuries.

He was the only occupant of the vehicle.

An RCMP collision reconstructionist is helping to find the cause of the crash.

An autopsy has been scheduled to determine the exact cause of the boy’s death.
